Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell (PlayStation 4) Review | Cubed3

Added: 07.02.2015 9:10 | 7 views | 0 comments

Cubed3: When leaving a cast floating in space with the Earth destroyed, one has written themselves a little into a corner. What better way to progress than by going even more outlandish and insane by sending the cast to battle the Devil and woo his daughter? Gat Out of Hell is a standalone expansion to Saints Row IV, allowing those wanting to test the waters to do so without investing in the full game. Since it's set after Saints Row IV, however, there are spoilers throughout, as is the case with this review.

Paradiger - Saints Row IV: Gat out of Hell, "Graphics Similar To Last-Gen" | Review

The first scene of the epilogue takes you right into the crazy world of Saints Row with the disappearance of the Boss after playing with a Ouija Board. When walking around Hell you notice right away that the graphics are not as good as expected. The graphics are more something we can expect from last-generation games and does not reflect the capabilities of current gen consoles. A very enjoyable element of the stand alone are the superpower abilities. They differ not that much from Saints Row IV but they got their own Hellish look. enjoyable element of the stand alone are the superpower abilities. A little difference is the replacement of Telekinesis with Summon which summons a little A.I monster that helps you in combat. Further you got the ability to turn you enemys into stone and the introduction of the angel wings. These wings let you fly and explore Hell from another perspective and lets us go to places that would otherwise havent been reachable.

SP: Saints Row titles have delivered some pretty impressive open-world action-adventure experiences over the years, as developer Volition managed to flesh out the series that originally started life as a poor man's Grand Theft Auto clone. With recent entries, such as Saints Row 3 or 4, the franchise reached new heights in terms of quality, while embracing its outlandish nature, instead of trying to go the serious or realistic path.

Saints Row: Gat out of Hell Review Purgatory Paradise I The Koalition

Richard Bailey Jr. of The Koalition writes: During PAX Prime 2014, Deep Silver and Volition revealed an upcoming expansion pack from their wildly popular Saints Row franchise. Gat out of Hell is billed as an open world action-packed adventure game that places series favorites Johnny Gat and Kinzie Kensington smack dab in the middle of Hell. After having a chance to play through the game in its entirety, I now want to share my candid thoughts on this title and why it may or may not be worth your time and money.
